The Other Art Fair

Bonjour bonjour bonjour! Well, what can I say? The Other Art Fair was a blast. It really was. I’ve gotta be honest, I was nervous. You really have to put your money where your mouth is but I had no idea I would meet so many fantastic people. Not just the attendees but the other arts there brought warmth and insight that I hadn’t been expecting. It was a fantastic experience that I fully intend to repeat, possibly in Los Angeles, who knows. Hello to all my new subscribers by the way.

New Prints.

It’s about blooming time I added some new images to my Hand Dryer collection. Travel hasn’t been as forthcoming as it once was, however, I won’t let that stop me. Tucked away in the basement of Hackney coffee/cocktail bar is the most purple of purple things since Quality Street launched the Big Purple.

“Diddy’s came to my attention in 2019 when I was invited to a book launch. The bathroom looked exactly like my aunty’s childhood bedroom that I had always been put in whenever we stayed at my gran’s house (minus the toilet obviously). Her whole room was purple. But 70’s purple. The OG purple. Proper purple. Purple satin sheets, purple curtains, purple cushions, purple purple purple. As soon as I walked into this room it all came flooding back. Who knew childhood memories of my auntie’s childhood bedroom would be tucked away in a Hackney coffee/cocktail bar.

BUT. I am very excited to share I have added an open edition. This 67x47cm beauty comes as an unsigned giclee print on Hahnemuhle Pearl paper.

Insta Takeover

Since Monday this week, I have been in the midst of my first-ever Insta takeover. The lovely Ben Murphy of Delphain Gallery has asked me to curate the 'Daily Art Contemporary Art’ Insta page.

Every day I share some of my favourite photographers and where possible I have interviewed them for a few words about their practice. My final day is Saturday but they’ll be on the page for the rest of time. If you enjoy them, then please let me know.

Open Editions

Something I have been thinking about for a while was to have open editions for all my images. Since the art fair last weekend, Ive decided now is the right time to test the idea out on you guys.

Each image is 67x47cm giclee print on Hahnemuhle Pearl paper and they are £100. Free shipping. I must be crazy! Look at those prices!
