Hackney Picturehouse, London -
"Hackney Picturehouse was one of the first images I took when I started this project way back in 2012. Every time I've taken a photo of this it's been perfect composition, an instant classic. Clean lines, beautiful coloured tiles, lovely lighting and that chrome daddy bang in the centre. When we were deciding on which image to use for the cover of my book, the publisher wanted this one from the very start. It seemed quite apt that one of the first images I took should be the cover. After I was given the opportunity to finally exhibit my artworks I wanted to make sure everything I presented was the very best, so that meant going back to all my favourites and retaking them but this time with a tripod. When I went back to Picturehouse and told them they were the cover of the book the reaction was magic. They couldn't believe it. They came with me upstairs to watch me set up and put it on their Instagram. You can see the guy in the reflection if you look carefully. "

Samuels art makes our house feel alive and vibrant. I am forever finding new details within each image. Samuel was extremely helpful when helping us find the perfect images for our home. He was always extremely friendly and personable as well as highly professional.
Rickie Haywood-Williams, BBC Radio 1
His work is so unique and arresting. He is somehow able to capture the 'ordinary' in a way that makes it feel truly extraordinary. I'm so excited to see his work in our home.
