Two Bits Retro Arcade, NYC - “This incredible image was taken in a now-closed amusement arcade in Lower East Side, Manhatten. Within the vintage games and sexy pinball machines, this guy sits waiting for his moment of life, to serve and wait. Nothing more, nothing less. The canvas, that is the wall it sits on, is the perfect microcosm of the Lower East Side. Every voyager left something to be remembered by, like a wall of remembrance for the pinball wizards of downtown NYC. It’s almost camouflaged from the scrawls and paint. It's so dark the picture doesn't do it justice, the shutter was actually open for two and a half minutes, which as you can imagine, automatically creates suspicions among the punters.”

Framing Information

Frame: All frames come in white or black with an open-grain finish. If you would like a different colour frame then please email hello@samuelryde.com.

Glass: Each framed order comes with standard glass. Non-reflective art glass can also be used but costs more.

Acrylic: Printed on gloss photographic film, bonded to 5mm thick acrylic with optically clear adhesive. The edges are diamond polished and hand-buffed for a glass-like finish.

International orders will have non-reflective acrylic glass as standard.

Awesome print

I absolutely love all the Samuel Ryde prints - I think it's brilliant how he captures the soul and uniquiness of these seemingly normal settings, and finds vibrant, interesting and rich images. I purchased the Two Bits Retro print, and am considering buying a couple more. The print is even better in the flesh - very high quality, vivid and vibrant. I've had it hanging up for a couple of days, and already has got a lot of comments from visitors. It takes people quite some time to see it's a hand dryer - and most thinking it's just a really cool piece of art. Really happy with it and looking forward to buying more Samuel Ryder prints and art work in the future.
