Manchester Art Fair / New Gallery / Elvis Festival

Hola Amigos!

It’s been a while since my last communication. I told myself I’d always blog every month and I’ve let myself down. Do not worry though, I have been keeping busy if you haven’t noticed. So let’s get down to business.

Manchester Art and Air Contemporary Gallery

Yesterday I had the incredible opportunity to exhibit at the Manchester Contemporary Art Fair for the very first time, an experience that in itself was filled with excitement and anticipation. However, what truly made this occasion all the more thrilling was the fact that I was showcasing my work alongside my new gallery partner, the esteemed Air Contemporary Gallery. It was just last month that Maria, the gallery's director, approached me with the proposal of collaboration, and I must admit, I was deeply honoured to even be considered for such a prestigious opportunity, let alone have the chance to work alongside some of the biggest names in the art world. They also have a brand new permanent gallery space in Soho’s Ham Yard Hotel where my work will be hanging with them if you’re in the area, pop in.

Elvis Festival Portcawl.

Finally! After years of trying I finally got to attend the Porthcawl Elvis Festival. The largest event of its kind on earth (40000 attendees according to the website) it’s been on my list for an age, ever since I saw the BBC Wales documentary about it a decade ago. This was the 19th installment in celebration of The King and it did not disappoint. The ETA’s (Elvis tribute acts) were all lovely and their stories were just as impressive as their costumes. Alan, for example, had a heart attack on stage last year. This was his own comeback. Louis and Aaron were both only 22, with the latter already 7 years deep into his career. I watched as these guys transformed backstage into the man himself and I loved every single second. Next year the venue is moving to rebuild the Pavillion Theatre and I fully intend on making sure I’m there. In the meantime please enjoy some of my favourite shots I got where I was there.

12:34.

As always, please enjoy some of my favourite 12:34 shots since my last update. For those not familiar, ‘12:34’ is my daily diary of life. I have taken a photo of whatever I am doing at that time every day, for the last 12 years.

Dont forget to keep an eye on my store for new works and my exciting new giant artworks.
